Well, our payroll bureau Three Counties Payroll had to establish exactly what was involved and in double-quick time! Therefore, when the government announced that companies would be able to claim back 80% of their employees’ wages for hours not worked during the pandemic, the team got to work.

It’s also worth bearing in mind that as well as dealing with claims on behalf of our valued clients, the team had to keep up to date with all the details of the scheme. During the pandemic the furlough scheme changed its terms in summer and autumn 2021.
The government’s contribution dropped from 80% up to £2,500 to 70% up to £2,187.50 in July 2021 and 60% up to £1,875 in August and September. Finally, the scheme ended on September 30. Phew!
Above everything else, our statistics prove that we were able to respond positively to an immensely challenging situation.
